Fills a total gap — technical.browser did not exist; the browser had zero Guide coverage despite a 321-line CLAUDE.md and this week's update-checker bugs.

Overview: prod/dev build variants, config resolution, the two-client auth flow (mgmt login() vs auth authLogin+MFA), the version header on every request, startup self-update (general channel, beta removed), menus/windows (Software menu MSP/BCOS-only, modal About/Feedback), and the local release process (release CI broken).
Gotchas: startup-only update check, the 2.4.7/2.4.8 dead updater (authManager ReferenceError → fixed 2.4.9), self-signed-cert=DNS red herring, stale-refresh-token, same-version-no-prompt.
